the internet says i can't watch anything online says i don't have divx player...

...or flashplayer when i do? it told me I required adobe flashplayer or divx player, so I downloaded them and restarted my laptop, but it still says I don't have them and won't let me watch anything?!

Sometimes websites will try to trick you in to thinking you don't have the software required to play a video, but in fact, you do. These are ploys to get malware and viruses on to your system. What website were you visiting that prompted you to download DIVX & Flash?
