The thread title is merely there for guidance :p:

Bitchiness is preferred, spam is acceptable.

Pleasantries are frowned upon but tolerated.

I really dislike Yoda too, and agree with Ronove, I really could batter him round the head with something! Apart from that, I like everyone :)

No, it's not unfair. It depends on how innocuous the subject matter is. If someone were to tell me they liked Harry Potter I would beg to differ and may even think about how many other things we may not have in common. I would not, however, dislike them. If someone were to tell me they thought the Holocaust was a great thing though, I would dislike them.
Opinions represent core values. They are a perfectly valid reason for disliking people. In fact, they are the main reason we choose to dislike some individuals.

Oh I'm so glad someone has sense. This is exactly what I mean, I dislike someone because I disagree with their point of view. People were made to be disliked

Why didn't you say that before then?

I find it hard to see you would actually dislike someone over something so simple as a book. :s: If he had made an offensive comment about the holocaust then fair point because that affected millions of people and was just a grotesque event in history, but a book?!

Would you like people disliking you over an opinion you have? You say people are meant to be disliked, but people are also meant to have opinions...

Personally i think it is silly for somebody to slag someone else off over a book.
