Hello,

I am new to using protein to help my bodybuilding experience. I don't know exactly know how or when to take it. I'll be leaving to join the Army soon. My Basic date is in 7 months. I believe that should give me time to get in shape. I'm 19 years of age about 5'9" and 145 pounds. Haha thanks everyone.

You're not going to get crap like GNC sells in the Army. You're going to get food. So, what's the point in taking supplements now? How can that make sense?

If it comes from GNC, it's probably not good. They sell crap. All of their supplements must carry a warning label and no health agency or medical association endorses supplements. Olympic atheltes don't use supplements in general and US NIH warns against taking supplements without a doctor's recommendation.

So, now's the time to get smart about your training. If you want to prep for grunt duty, train for humping 20 miles on dirt road with a 40 pound haversack and forget your bodybuilding.

Good luck and good health!!
