Why buy a Mac when I have a decent computer already that does what I want it to do (most of the time, anyway) without having to buy an entire system if I only need to upgrade one part? Macs look good, suit certain people, but no thanks.
No I'm one of the "can't be bothered fixing yet another damn BSOD issue that shouldn't be happening in the first place" types. Having dealt with BSODs since the days when a 33Mhz 486 CPU without a built in maths co-processor and 4MB of RAM was cutting edge. I've had my fill of Microsoft incompetence.
Which reminds me. My friend at work is bring me his daughters laptop to fix on Monday. It's a Vista machine suffering the Black Screen of Death issue. She tries to log in and is met with a useless black screen. It's a bug that still persists in Windows 7 related to the hibernation feature.
Ah, Vista, the only good thing about it being the example used in the courses I deliver is that I can say "you wont ever use Vista, but the things you'll use regularly are in the same place in Windows 7."
