Things that make you go GRRRRR.... (Part 2)

On the way home from the gym on Saturday I passed the Red Poll cows on Midsummer Common near the path and said 'mmm tasty beef'.
I just had turkey roast

Oh no I'm not planning on measuring it out, I bung 4 big scoops in and throw in a bunch of other things (see my log for details) it was just a hypothetical conversation with a mate.

I was talking to my mate and explained my 'gym juice' recipie, and said since switching whey isolates I've gotten from 85g to 120g ish, because my new isolate has 27.7g per scoop and my old one had 18-19g per scoop.
He was being silly and asked me exactly how much, was in, I said 120, he said not quite, my head hurt and he wouldn't tell me.

The horrible feeling you get when halfway through an argument, you realise it:
"oh my god, I'm wrong. Like really, badly, cretinously wrong"
and then, the long horrible grinding down of your self esteem as each second passes as you realise that you've said too much to back down now...

No, no, I practice MA so that if the argument deteriorates, I can hurt the other person badly.
The shock is that I actually have enough of a conscience to care, a little bit, about whether I'm right or wrong. This is a new development. In the past, I've always assumed that winning the argument meant, by definition, that I was right.

Mate, that's a good thing, not a bad thing. I'm willing to bet too many people go through their whole lives without ever experiencing that feeling.

I'm just teasing obviously. You want to wait til the conversation has gone quiet, then say "You know when I said..... Well, I might be wrong" Job Done

Yes, but the problem is, I'm not man enough to ever admit it. It's also fatal to my funiness and the persona I've built up, both IRL and on the internet to look as though I care.

But my ego.... my precious ego....

Ah, but your precious ego can be boosted by taking the moral high ground that admitting to being wrong allows you. You are a better person than the one who refuses to acknowledge that they could ever be wrong and people will respect you for admitting your mistakes!
