Things that make you go GRRRRR.... (Part 2)

Evening meal will not work. I switched it around from evening to lunchtime because it was impossible to get home from work and have anything then do a class or gym session. Also suggested by a previous PT. The problem is only really the fruit I guess, which as far as energy goes is quick release whereas the porridge or muesli is slow, so better early in the day. My colleague has a wrap with god knows what in it (rather than a sandwich). Maybe I should explore that?

Water? I don't drink a lot tbh. The office is quite stuffy and dehydration can quickly sneak up on you. One fruit tea in the morning, another in the afternoon. One glass of water, and sometimes a cup of coffee in the late afternoon. I'll usually have a couple of cups of tea in the evening plus a 500ml water/squash/salt mix for the gym

If you want to slow the release of the energy from your fruit, have a breakfast of Greek yoghurt, fruit and cinnamon. The fat and the cinnamon will prolong the length of time the food stays in your stomach and keep your blood sugar levels constant for longer (so you don't get highs and lows). Also ditch the skimmed milk and drink full fat or at least semi-skimmed. You need fat in your diet to help you absorb the fat soluble vitamins. Fat (and protein) also keep you feeling fuller for longer than simple carbs do. If you want a filling non-fruit snack try pineapple cottage cheese or plain cottage cheese with some cinnamon or nutmeg added.

Not poo related this one A colleague of mine went to Brussels and Bruges recently, and watched 'In Bruges' last week. I asked if he had a copy. He did. I got it. Then a couple of days later my rental dvd turned up. Of course, it was 'In Bruges'. Duh

Been watching the DV footage from my afternoon gym session. Seems when working out I get so tired and confused I can't count to ten, or eight. Grrrrr. I need a training partner

I do that to! I'm more likely to do it during condition work than pure strength work, but it happens during both! I've acquired a counter that I use for sprint intervals, so I don't have to remember where I'm up to! For other things I try to count out loud as I'm doing the reps.

Doesn't seem to be a way to change the name of a thread once it's been on the go for a little while. I'm sure only 2 or 3 people are reading my training log put off by the silly title. Grrrrr

Changing the thread title is easy enough. If you want it done send me a PM with the new title and I'll do it.

As for the counting, don't get caught up on numbers. Enough work, is enough work, be that 6, 8 or 10.

Being poor. Ignoring the other things I want to do but can't thanks to money I'm now probably going to miss the leaving party for a few mates going to uni because I couldn't afford to get ID sorted before this week. Stupid capitalism

Here, have some chocolate (hands Seventh a large chunk of the dark chocolate and orange she's munching), you'll feel much better (if you don't like chocolate orange, I have some plain dark chocolate you can have)!
