That's what you get for independance

My own Grrr: I got an email this morning offering me a job but something felt a bit wierd so I checked them out. Website looked quite crappy for a finance company and a quick search of the Financial Authority showed their number on there was bogus. Throw in a look on google street view and finding out the address was bs too and I'm an annoyed Southpaw. Props to them for putting in the effort though. Better was of trying to scam my account than the Nigerian Prince poop.

Well if you don't have access to physio you really need to be far more mature in your response to injury. You need to rest until it is healed (and that doesn't mean skipping 1 session), ice the injury if appropriate, do SMR if appropriate and if you do train, you train round the injury, you don't do anything that hurts. If you are constantly getting injured (or sick) you need to reassess the way you train, the exercises you do, your form, your diet and your recovery program. You also need to consider whether paying the money for treatment would be a worthwhile investment to make for your long term health and training goals.

I've already used cold gel, ibuprofen and SMR. Not much more I can do except avoid any exercises that use that muscle.

I'm somewhat prone to tears and dislocations, but I highly doubt that's from lack of either proper form, diet (adequate, plenty of protein and calories, ok, not all of them clean XD) sleep (get plenty) or not taking enough rest. It runs in my family, as well as being affected by hormone flux. My mom, before she hit menopause, often had to simply give up exercise during certain weeks because she'd suffer injuries that easily during spikes of certain hormones. I admit I don't always go easy, but if I rested every time there was a danger of damaging something I'd probably spend half the month resting and never gain anything. I damage less since I started lifting but the hypermobility is probably never going to go away.

Perhaps you should focus more heavily on conditioning in terms of weight training and whatnot, instead of trying to make straight gains in strength etc? That way you might build up more resilience? Perhaps something to ask about in H&F.

Wouldn't be a bad idea, yeah. I'll post a thread later when I have time to formulate one.

That said..I'm lucky to have the degree of resilience I have now, even if it's lower than most.

As a young adolescent, I actually used to damage my knee joints simply by leaning against a wall for too long. They'd deform and deform right out of normal range of motion, I'd go to walk or run somewhere, and end up in agony. My connective tissues are just delicate.

On second thoughts, I'll go make the thread now, just a short message will do...

Okay, this is weird.

Inflaofftopiction is somewhat gone, and there's stuff in there that's definitely not the product of swelling alone. As in hard, wire like fibers. You don't get those from injury or inflaofftopiction. It's as if there's some hypertrophy there but only on one side.

I suspect it's the fact that I do a lot of everyday tasks left-sided, creating an imbalance, and overdoing it on the deads and powercleans was the icing on the cake.

Noobs. I'm fine with new people muscling their way through me since I'd do the same if I could, but the whole grabbing my fingers thing, and coming coming away with a few gouges in my hand from your nails is taking the piss slightly. That said, retaliatory crossfacing for the win

I often wonder if I'm the right person for this self-employment lark. You see, I like being told what to do. It's not a fascistic thing, I just appreciate clear, authoritative instructions. There is no room in my psyche for ambiguity or, really, for consideration or thought. Much better to have orders.

Just scalded my hand, in between my thumb and my finger.

This ice pack is doing wonders, but it might still scupper my hopes for a weights session in the gym
