Bloody marketing companies!!! Against my better judgment (and possibly because I feel sorry for the door to door market interviewers, usually part employed on a sign up basis) I decided to take up a TV & Internet usage monitoring thing with a company I won't name here in conjuction with Google.
Then came the phone interview, repeating everything asked at the door parrot fashion (because these people have no brains), and a followup by a company drone a couple of days ago, text reminders. And today some mindless fool comes to fit a router, only questions asked before: do you have a wireless or wired connection, so they know I use a wired connection, I don't have a router, I just use a broadband modem.
Now I know BT and Virgin corner the market in home internet and send out their own router box thingies but if your connection relies on a router to feed through it should be pretty damn high up on the pre-reqs in the questionaire. Dumb tards. The guy knew less about network computing than me. I'm not a geek by any means though do some computery stuff in my day job but wonder how some people keep their jobs!!!
