Things that make you go GRRRRR.... (Part 2)

hurty thumb(s) don't know if its the cold or some weird pulling exercise where my grip failed, more worrying that I can't place when I did it...

My knuckles have always clicked, but my thumbs never did until I did Enshin and a bit of grip work as a result. Maybe just the judo catching up with you?

Icing might help, or wrapping them round an iced drink

Delayed DOMS from yesterday's monster BJJ session is starting to set in. I need to go to sleep for a week!

This is going to sound bad. But why is the Red Cross polluting my Facebook with begging to help Americans hit by Sandy? We've just had 4 years of Americans complaining about Obama's socialist polices and, shock horror, a desire to build a that provides decent health care for everyone. Not to mention more than a few pot-shots at the NHS. Now I have begging on Facebook to help Americans?

Maybe I shouldn't be annoyed. But I am.

I hadn't noticed that yet, blank the ad's on the whole, but I can understand why it would get on your nerves.

Perhaps because they believe charity and the non-governmental sector is more efficient and morally valid than an engorged state? Not saying I necessarily agree, just speculating.

Things that make me go GRRRRRRR- cars leaving roundabouts without an exit signal, the letter aitch being pronounced Haitch (unless the speaker is Irish) and short people with umbrellas.

Right, 'cos the relatively small number of people affected by any given disaster are so much more deserving then all the people who need medical attention every year. I totally get where the morality is there.

Why should it matter if socialism is administered by a charity that normally works in Africa or government with the resources to build a massive nuclear arsenal? It's still socialism.

Socialism involves a fairly large dose of compulsion. Charitable giving does not.
