It's not so much the days that are the problem, but the evenings and meal times. However, if I can sort out the hotel I want to stay in, there's a shopping mall with a pretty decent food court underneath the hotel so I can mooch around there a bit in the evenings and there should be a telly in the hotel.

cut dimensions were about 15 mm lengthwise and 5 mm in depth

Ouch! I managed to slice my thumb open last year the day we arrived in Stockholm. I was slicing peppers with a brand new knife! I thought it would never stop bleeding and would need stitches - fortunately it didn't. It took a while to heal because I couldn't help but put pressure on it due to the location on the thumb so it kept opening up! Stupid thumb cuts!
