Things that make you go :-)) take two!

Great in' it? Really wish I'd got into this earlier in life. Sad it took my son running off to realise I could do stuff as well.

My goddamn hamstring injury finally healed! I CAN DEADLIFT AGAIN! YAY!

Now I just need my left knee and my damaged oblique muscle back, and I'm good to go...

Went out yesterday to take some photos around my area. Got back, processed them through Photoshop and they look great. The calmness of walking around, followed by the elation of both great scenery and shots finished off by the post processing and seeing the final result of the photo makes me really happy

Woot!!

Some people giving me some shifty looks though. Probably afraid that I'll sneak in some shots of their dog or capture their grumpy looks.

Went to a wargames and militaria show on the weekend.
Pride of place for me was a black man dressed as a soldier of the Wehrmacht.
A black nazi!
You don't get many of them to the pound.

Got my mojo back on the deadlift after failing on my 100kg max last achieved March 23rd

The speed singles, grip pulls and rack pulls I've been doing all must have helped, maybe even the recent powercleans on Saturdays too. Used the same prep lifts: 1x5@60kg, 1x5@75kg, 1x5@85kg, 1x5@90kg, 1x3@95kg.

Then managed a 1x5@100kg, attempted 110kg, it left the floor at least, so tried 105kg for a single, my new pb, my new chalk ball helped, no belt

Nice! Well done!

Edit: Sorry, this was meant for Harukoraharu, I didn't realize there were more posts after that one..LOL..time for caffeine...

is it in Denmark? ahh the oldest that'll be why I thought that

This is cool, total dedication http://mashable.com/2010/04/24/best-lego-movies-youtube/

As long as I get to keep all the lego bricks afterwards that's fine. I mean as long as John does, of course

I saw the pics

It's a brilliant place. My two were entranced for hours, with a huge variety of stuff to do. Fab day out

Just bought another pair of shoes from the US as not available over here. (I'm trying not to think about the import tax and 20% vat)

Most stuff I get from the states slips by customs. Only once have I paid duty. The fee was more than the duty

I've been lucky with stuff coming from China and Japan, but most (apart from small eBay items) from US have been taxed. I think it'll be worth it though, they are a work of beauty
