Yes. I know it wasn't the HDD as I replaced my 40Gb drive with a 320Gb Seagate Barracuda and it was working when I swapped it out for a smaller 100Gb Western Digital. There's a little IC board on the back of drives, and it appears a couple of connections melted and there was a crack when I switched on the power after connecting everything up in the enclosure box
There's been times the wormhole cable would have been useful but its the second option I just bought. Thanks
Oddly enough none of my colleagues were interested when I asked if they could open up their pcs and stick another random hdd into their machine and transfer some files to an external flash drive or two. I had an even crazier idea of unplugging the network on my work pc, swapping out the hdd, booting from my disc, transferring the files (assuming the bios wasn't really upset by the sudden change) then putting it all back and hoping no one noticed
Postworkout toffee apple pudding and cream - and I do mean postworkout. I finished lifting, did SMR, washed my hands and face and microwaved the pudding! NOM, NOM, NOM! On this occasion the protein will have to wait!
Did you watch the recent Horizon program about exercise? Worth a look. Apparently it takes about 55 minutes of running to work off a banana, a blueberry muffin and a latte.
