Think she'll be able to laugh this date invite off even if she isn't interested?

I intend to ask out one of my closest friends tomorrow. If you were to be asked out by a guy friend of yours, do you think this would make you laugh at least even if you weren't interested?

"Hey ___, I know this is probably going to sound ridiculous but you wouldn't get angry with and stop hanging out with me if I were to ask out some girl on a date right?"

-> if NO, "well good, would you like to go out skating with me this weekend?"

-> if YES, "Even if that girl was you?"

That's the gameplan. Think it will work? Or do I need to rework it?

That's kind of sweet but if she's interested you might not get a reply. Don't say 'some girl' say something nicer like 'this sweet girl..'. But also make it more clear like say 'on a date on saturday..' then with the reply make sure you say saturday. Good luck! :)
