Is the music from Kazaa legit and is it virus ridden?
I was unaware that Kazaa was illegal. I am just looking for something free to download music that isn't virus ridden. I do not play with pirated music as it can and will mess with my career.

Kazaa is full of viruses and you should not use it to download music illegally. Purchase them from itunes or any similar store instead.
