thoughts on the Michael Jackson trial?

Don't talk wet, this is a million miles away from a normal case of malpractice.

I realize that policemen and prosecutors cannot address every case that comes before them, but to say that nothing would happen when a doctor is caught with a dead body, sedatives, and IV tubes in a bedroom -- man, I have to believe they'd prosecute that case no matter who it is!

I live in LA, and one of our radio stations covered this trial in amazing detail in its morning talk show. The prosecution had him dead to rights. Murray was an idiot to have worked for free for Jackson (and Jackson was a slime ball for not paying him), but in retrospect we have to be glad that Murray didn't get paid.
 
I got the scoop on this:

His sister Latoya says it was a conspiracy, because basically his brothers and security were all muslim or converts to muslim. They were saying that Michael was inches from converting over himself - however as the conspiracy goes, he has too many fans and followers, who in turn may have also converted over to islam...

Also, I recall his star chart said if that on his day of death, if he were to die any time soon, that that'd be the day in which to die. (search for michael jacksons star chart for his death on youtube)

Surely if that were the case, he would already have converted thousands of people into Jehova's witnesses - especially since they actively try to convert people as part of their faith.

I'm not sure there were armies of Jackson-inspired Jehovas out there...
 
Don't attack the messenger, consider the source (his sister and brother)... i believe the sister speaks up at about the 1hr 7min mark...

I was going to speculate that it'll be soon be muslims getting rounded up and shipped to concentration camps...but then I remembered the Gaza strip and realised it's already happening.

The truth is, whatever the rights and wrongs, the Israelis are there now and most of them can bear no blame for what's being done to the palestinians. Some of them even actively oppose it. I have no hopes for a peaceful solution, though. It's an ugly mess and it's going to get even worse. I don't think the two state solution is the way forward. To identify a country exclusively with a given racial group is, by its definition, racism. I have certain sympathies with the palestinians, but they fade every time they launch another rocket.

Well regardless, Michael's brother and sister are saying that there was a set up, and that Dr. Murray is a fall guy...
 
Why would Michael Jackson's brother and sister lie about him getting closer to converting to islam, and lie about their feelings of a conspiracy to kill him?
 
If there was some grand conspiracy, why would they be the only ones to spot it? You don't think Murray's lawyers might have pounced on it were there even a grain of truth to it?

You know what, I can't be bothered, you seem to be suffering from some form of mental illness and arguing with someone who is psychotic is good for no one.

Poor choice of words, I really don't care either way. I've seen surgeons cut off the wrong leg. My own grandmother had a stroke due to a doctor writing the wrong medicine. In 30 years I've seen or witnessed dozens of cases of malpractice yet I've only seen one doctor lose his license and that was showing up and giving radiation treatments while drunk and on cocaine.

Doctors will ALWAYS protect each other here in the U.S. I can't speak for any other country but I still think if this was you or me, it'd be non-news.
