I am using a mac and trying to get torrents onto itunes, the torrents downloaded but are stuck at the seeding phase, my firewall is set to accept them, under status is says "seeding" (0/1200)
They aren't stuck. They have completed downloading. You are now sharing what you downloaded. You are seeder. Stop the torrent (red square button) if you don't want to seed. Go to utorrent's faq page and read up.
Bit Torrent is a method to download. What you download is your choice, and many times you will be tempted to download copyright material, but that is not legal in most countries...
