Tottenham Riots

thing is in the long term that will probably make things much worse.

Walsall??

There's not an Asda living there.

I heard Bentley Bridge (Wolves) had been hit.

Nothing on the news though.

Possibly. So far despite what you say this has mostly looked like kids getting out of control. I think the public in general might not be that concerned, happy even, if it gets put down. This isn't like the race riots or the poll tax, there isn't some clear political motive other than what we can deduce from a black man being killed by police.

Well apparently it has reach a new low. The rioters in Birmingham have apparently attacked a childrens hosptial!

However no matter what happens I think nothing will happen until after COBRA meeting tomorrow. Besides, I'm lead to believe there are no water cannons on the mainland at this time. You can't employ tear gas if your police don't have gas masks, and you can't use rubber bullets because there are insufficient fire arms.

The police have basically admitted they're stretched to thin. To my mind their best bet would be to consentrate in one area and clear it out (using as much force as required), and then move on to the next.

im telling you guys go do a rain dance, if it works just watch how quickly the crowds will diminish, if they have to resort to bringing in soldier's or rubber bullets the rioters will step up there violence and more people will feel the need to get involved.

Ah yeah there's one there.

Well if it's true the big Tesco in the centre will be in trouble, it's a 24 hour one.

Protestors piss themselves as soon as normal police start moving towards them, you give the army batons and a few dog units and people will not stand and fight. If there was some great politcal motive then yeah maybe but a bunch of kids out getting a tv and some trainers?

lol some would argue out of a bunch of politcos or a bunch of kids from the underclass on a rampage, the one most likely to stand and fight is the kids.

Hasn't happened. Birmingham Children's Hospital is right opposite (as in about 10 metres away from) the biggest Police Station in Birmingham.

Not even these scum are that stupid.

I've been hearing this on and off for well over an hour , to put it into perspective , there's a huge police station next door to the childrens and big tescos opposite , so my suspicion is it's collaterall damage rather than an attack against the hospital itself , though if it's the latter i would personally help hang anyone by the balls who was involved.

Full baton rounds, horses, sticks, shields, water and everything else - enough is enough.

Hit the few very hard and watch the rest fold

I am sorry but this is not a disillusionment anymore and they need crushing

Have you been watching the news the last few days? Or during any youth disorder for that matter? They throw stuff, the police start moving forward and then the kids cack themselves and rapidly back up. Yeah they might get brave and throw some kicks at the shields but I really don't believe the whole group will charge back, they never do. The army get involved I stand by that even more. These are chavs out for a laugh and a chance for free gear they're not that interested in getting a suited up cop or a squaddie standing on their back. The police start seriously cracking people and putting them down hard and the rest will run.
