i am thinking of getting a new hard drive. i have many songs ( about 2,500) and i want to know how to transfer them. i use itunes. i know i can use a usb flashdrive, but i was wandering if i could use my ipod to transfer all the songs to the new drive. Or is there any other easier way?

if all your songs fit on your ipod then that would be the easiest way

Once u connect the hard drive (external/internal) its then as simple as cut & paste!!

you can plug the hard disk onto your computer... When it is off...

THe disk will show up in your my computer....

Then just copy them over using the drag and drop.....

U can use external drives..... you can get a 1.5 TB external disk with a backup software, so that you specify the folders you want to backup and it will do it at the touch of a button.

Definetly easiest way is to leave songs on iPod (if you got enough space) and then transfer them to new hardrive when you get, or put them all on a USB Drive (if large enough), or if you know how to have 2 hardrives hooked up to your computer just transfer directly from one to other in 2 secs. Will have to set up slave hard drive and master hard drive, I would not does this since you dont sound like a computer geek lol, definetly just leave on iPod and re-download iTunes and save to new hardrive when you get if you got enough space.
