It's a beautiful road that we're very proud of. A few things to consider:
-No permits required (aside from driver's license and car insurance)
-It's difficult to drive. It's a winding road that gets narrow at times. Traffic can back up.
-Check weather reports. WInter dumps a lot of rain on the coast during the winter months. That means MUD SLIDES! The road can get washed out.
-Check traffic reports. One collision and the road is blocked for miles and miles. (google maps is good)
-Plan your fuel fill ups. Stations are far apart in some places.
-Expect to spend a bit of $. The logistics make things more expensive.
-Keep your eyes on the road! Lots of amazing scenery and animals on the road.
