I have been accepted by a graduate program in Oregon. Hooray. I've lived in Tennessee all my life, and I thought rather than flying over parts of the country I've never seen before, it might be nice to take a train.
When I try to plot my route on Amtrak's website, I receive a message that a route from Tennessee to Oregon does not exist. That makes sense--it can't be a common trip. I assume it is possible to break the available routes down and piece a trip together.
If you have experience traveling long distances by train, could you assess the situation and point me in the right direction? I would appreciate your help very much.
