I wanted to download music from my HP Pavilion g4 laptop to my LG Octane, so I plugged it in. Then everything started getting confusing, and I'm not sure how to disconnect my phone without damaging either the phone or the laptop. I tried clicking "Safely Remove Hardware", but for some reason the laptop classified the phone as a disc and it just tried to eject it, which obviously didn't work. How can I safely remove my phone without damaging it or the laptop, while keeping the music I put on there? (no illegal music or anything dangerous)
Also, on my phone it says "Do not disconnect before removing the device from pc", and I'm not sure what that means?
