the larger, red one jumped out of the tank yesterday. i thought it might die, its a pretty long fall til you hit the floor.
well today it was scooting along the bottom, and was LAYING BABIES in the tank.
theres about nine or ten of them, and one swam into the filter.
are they going to live? is there anything special i should do to make sure the baby fish live?

okay
they are called platys
and if there tummy si really big and under there is ablack spot which means the gravid spot which alos means thats it pregnant good luck just make sure u have lots of hiding spots so they live and the filter may kill them so u se a spoon and get all the water in the tanka nd get a 5 gallon tank so u can put the babies in tehre for a while so they can live and not get eaten but also remeber it needs a filter and a air pump

the fish is called platy. they breed easily and if you want the babies to survive, they can survive on crushed fish flakes or what you feed our platies, but crushed up.

should be at least a about 10x bigger than a grain of sand or smaller.
