One scene there was a covertible that the truck driver let through but actually truck driver knowingly let the covertible despite there being another car going the other way, which resulted in the crash of the convertible.

This guy is a serial killer driving a truck, forgot the name of the movie.

It's not Joy RIde.
IT's not Duel, it's not that old. It may have been made in the early 1990s(1987,1989,1992,etc.) or at the most early 2000s(1999,2001,etc.)
 
was that duel it ended with a buss full of kids . the truck was a fuel carrier and it ran off of the tank .
