3 men walked into a completely full hotel and expect to buy 3 different rooms for the night. Unfortunately and as to be expected, the owner of the hotel said there was only 1 room available and offered it to the 3 men for $30. Each man paid $10 (which as we all know; 10+10+10=30) and went up to their room.

Now, the owner of the hotel felt sorrry for the men and decided afterwards to give the room to them for $25 instead. So, he rung up a bellboy and gave him five dollars saying, "Bring this up to the three men and divide it between them." So, the innocent bellboy walked up to the men's room wondering how he was going to split the money. Being terrible at math, he decided to simply give each man $1 and put the remaining money into his pocket.

Now, if we take all the money that has been counted up, we started off with $30. Technically, each man only paid $9 because they each got $1 back.
If we go 9x3=27 plus the two dollars the bellboy pocketed that equals $29.

Here's the question: Where's the 30th dollar?
