Can't use carfax, as that site does not go back far enough. Was wondering if there were any other sites that might be of help, or if anyone has an idea of how to find out?
In the 70's they were refered to as a step side it wasn't until the 90's that they change to the "flare side". Is this a truck you own or one you are trying to buy? If you are trying to buy and would like to know what it is I would say it is probably a style/fleet side. Step sides from that time are few and far between.

Your favorite Magazine, music, video emporium will have books and magazines for trucks of the 70s showing all of these features in pix and narrative. Your local library will have some literature too...and there is Google...google it!
