Well today I was riding my Yamaha TT-R 125cc dirt bike down a dirt road and it bogged down while I was slowing down to turn around.

I was going down the road gunning the throttle max in 5th gear, and then started slowing and shifting down to second gear, but when I throttled it in 2nd it slowing bogged down and eventually just shut off. So I was off on the side of the road trying to get this thing to start up (took about 20mins to finally get it started) and then right when I got to the turn to get to my house, I was in second gear and it bogged down just like the first time. (the same would probably happen if I was in first gear)

So about 1 hour later I went to go check it out, and it starts up like a charm, doesn't bog down anymore either.

Can anybody tell me what I might have done wrong? I'm new at riding and I'd like to know what I've done so I don't do it again.

Check the spark plug wire at both ends, the plug itself, the air filter and the fuel filter. Those are the main four things that could go wrong with a dirt bike.

Do what golden rider said first.

Second check the fuel line connecting your gas tank to the carby is not teathered or bending so the fuel is passing nicely

Good luck
