Hello, for starters, I am illiterate with technology so I am trusting you answerer's here.
Here is the problem: I just got a Sony Blu Ray player for my HDTV. The player on asks during the "easy set-up" procedure questions such as "What language: English or Espanol?" or "Am I using tv cables or an HDMI cord?, ect."

The question that stumps me is what resolution my TV is?
The choices featured are 480i, 720i, 1080i, 480p, 720p, and 1080p.
I know for a fact it's progressive scan but I don't know whether it's 480p, 720p, 1080p.

My manual only states that the SHARP LCD HDTV is 26 inches and has a resolution of 1366x768. Which resolution should I select for my player?
480p, 720p or 1080p?

Its 1080p.

Also, you definitely want to use an HDMI cable, cheap ones are just as good as expensive ones.

Enjoy!
