unable to run cd after burning on car stereo.?

I use xp home and xp burner. I downloaded music files and copied on cd.

This cd works well on mp3 player, computer etc but doesnt work in my car stereo.

useful suggestions would be appreciated.
 
see, either the issue is with the writing speed or the format of CD.
use nero and make it a music CD, it will run well. and look what is reading speed for your player.

It is probably caused by one of these:

1. It's a very old CD player.
2. You didn't finalize the disc.
3. You made an MP3 format CD, and the CD player only takes regular CDs.
 
depends on car stereo cause some dont allow u 2 listen 2 burned cd's
 
could be the burner or the cd player.

my guess, it's your Car CD player... not all of them are designed to read non-professionally made cd's.


also, are you sure that you burned it in a CD Audio format and not a digital (mp3 only) format.

There is a difference between a CD Audio format (like what you buy from the store) and an MP3 format.

The MP3 format is basically storing all the files in a raw form like on a floppy disc or on your HD. The audio format converts the files into a "CD PLAYER" format. The two are not the same.

Your cd player (in your car) has to have MP3 Player capability to play MP3 Discs. AND It also has to have the capability to play home made CDs.
