Unbiased opinions on PS3 vs XBOX 360?

Im TRYING to decide which one to get but its just to hard! I have a 360 now but it seems like it might be going down the gutter.... Overall can you please give me a comparison between graphics, sound, performance (etc.) and online/ community? Also IF PS3, where do I find a backwards compatibal one? Also some of the reasons why I cant decide is because of friends.... EVERYONE i know has a 360 so another question is are the players nice online? So yeah please compare, and tell me bout community/players, and give an overall judgement (should get a _____ or shouldnt get a ____ and why please!)
 
Live has hands down the worst community out of ps3, live, and pc. if they're not kids who haven't gone through puberty yet, it's some frat boy who thinks he's god's gift to CoD. ps3 and pc has jerks too, but not nearly as many: not everyone can afford blutooth headsets for ps3.

if you want a backwards compatible ps3, you'll need a fat version of the 40, 60, or 80 gig models.

really, there aren't any noticeable differences in graphics or sound: both will sound great with surround sound, although for some reason the newer versions of the 360 don't have an optical port.

so in short: if you're tech-saavy, you'll get more out of the ps3, but game-wise, they're equal.
 
They're really the same thing with tiny differences. It's childish seeing people fight over them because they have different names.
