unlocking a phone myself - sony ericsson W910i?

I just bought a new phone on the O2 network but want to have it unlocked so I can put my Vodafone sim in there.

Do I have to get this done in a shop or is it simple enough to do myself? The phone is a sony ericsson W910i.
 
hav a look on ebay as its much cheaper ther!! normaly shops want anything from £10 - £30, but on ebay the most ur likely to pay is £10 !!

unlocking is a SOFTWARE fix not HARDWARE.

check Ebay for unlock codes. they usually run for about 10 - 12 bucks. they will give directions as to how to unlock it when u get the code
