I wanted to buy a smartphone from t-mobile, but I don't want to pay for the monthly data plan since I can just use wifi. If I were to swap my sim card with my friend's at&t sim card, get an unlock code from t-mobile to unlock it, then put my original sim card back in, would t-mobile recognize the phone and continue to charge me for the data plan or not?
