US embassies attacked

Well applying logic and reason to any religion and isn't going to stand up. However that's not the debate here. One of my top students is a well respected muslim scholar. Now he is completely comfortable with my hard drinking, fornicating ways. Just as I am with his non-pork eating religious lifestyle. We don't care that our views are diametrically opposed because we respect each other. I don't stop spouting my secular humanist ideas and he doesn't worry about talking about Islam. The religion isn't what makes the man good. He is a good man who just happens to be a muslim. I would trust him with my life any day. I have met many good muslims over the years, too many in fact to believe the media hype and crap spouted. If you armed the EDL with AK47s and very little law enforcement I am sure we would see absolute mayhem. It isn't the religion at fault. It is the people. The only way to change them is to be a beacon of freedom and fairness so they have an example to follow.

The Bear.

You made some great points, and please carry on doing so, but I was growing a little tired of repeating things I have mentioned that it seemed like you failed to acknowledge. We could spend an eternity nitpicking things out of context in different angles with absolutes, it will not give a clear answer. But please if you are and interested and can do take a look at the direct sources of info instead of taking other peoples words for it, instead of being for or against. Everyone has their own interpretation.

@Sandninjer, in my eyes you have already made a valuable contribution, but technically speaking on MAP to attain "Valued member" status I believe it is 50 posts, so keep going...

Thanks man, that's a huge compliment! Funny thing is, my first several posts ended up here by sheer randomness. Not to say the only reason was to get my post count up

Epic Troll Thread Sandninjer . . . you'll be posting in the Ninjutsu forum in no time!

Your first Epic Troll Post should be the exact OPPOSITE of anything you've posted in this thread (I haven't read you, but everyone is saying you're the awesomeness). That will probably be a good start for you. (Don't though, because they'll probably lock the thread!)

Who's sayin that? But I won't lie, I didn't intend on trolling... but it does look like that from the outside huh? Let's keep it that way

You're not a troll my friend. Oh no. Not even CLOSE! Ero's talking about an actual thread called the "epic troll thread" Its in the off topic section.

Looks like I'll have to check it out. Maybe I might do a little bit of harmless trolling there one day, but it's too soon for me to say that right now.

Oops, did I say that?

Conveniently for you the thread has begun to take a spin towards Ninjas! Don't bother with reading the whole thread, just jump to the last page, read and engage!

If you read from page one it would be like trying to say you read a book by reading the first page of every book in Barnes and Noble.

Thanks, I think I need to do a lot more research about many areas we have covered.

Sorry if I was sounding like a broken record, I just found contradictions in the answers, though I will take them of the threads and read them together and see if I can see it differently.

Im curious if we broke an MAP record for so many replies in such a short space of time

Found this on FB today, after I posted the picture of the people protesting against the killing of the US Ambassador, someone found a photo of some of the rioters and the rest you can see.

I have blacked out there names and picture and some of the swear words for obvious reasons.

This is sadly a common set of opinions.

@Razgriz, I lolled at Israel attacking Iran. 20 years ago yes, now? It could possible mean a world war, as a "middle power" Iran is quite a powerhouse and one on one, would run over Israel, with sheer numbers. Of course we know modern politics is a lot more complex than that, and the whole international warfare thing is a system of checks and balances, threats and counter threats. I really do think if anyone went into Iran we could possibly looking at World War 2.5

Ye people should really look into how that game of chess would play out.
I don't think I have to say I was associating myself with those comments apart from the reply which was mine

I just thought it was slightly humorous the ignorance of some people.

If I can recommend StratFor as a good source of geo-political information.

Raz

Yeah Aneki, Stratfor and the CIA database are staples for geo-political rankings.

Eh.....this may be the wrong crowd to try to broach this subject b ut since noone else has raised the point might I suggest an interesting alternative to Islam-bashing, US-bashing or anything else-bashing?

Ever notice how presidential candidates are always making these grand statements about what they would do when they get in the White House. Then....somebody DOES get in the White House and right after the Intelligence Community gives its first briefing suddenly there is a completely different guy sitting in that chair in the Oval Office? My point is that we are seeing only the most visible very tip-top of a massive geo-political Iceberg.

Doesn't anyone else find it rather convenient how we always have some "bad guys" to demonize? Before we had Islam we had the Cold War and Communists under the bed. Before that we had Facism in Germany and Italy. Before that we were fight "the War to End all Wars". Who comes after Islam? The Chinese?

I'm just sayin' how these incidents seem to be just very conveniently spread-out on a timeline.....just enough to fan the flames but not cogent enough to actually identify whose doing the fanning. I mean....do ANY of us know who actually did the original TV program? Can you really hear a producer sayin' something like, "OK....the World is about to meltdown over Islam....hey....lets do a bit ridiculing Mohammed!" Just sayin"

Best Wishes,

Bruce

I like where you're going with this because you're purposely holding back saying too much yet I believe we're thinking along the same lines. I'll tip toe a bit further for you. War improves economy. It creates massive amounts of jobs, i.e. defense contractors, civilian-military organizations, oil fields, McDonald's (jk...or am I?), etc.

Remember recently when everyone was screaming "1%! 1%! 1%!" ? I bet you most people didn't even know what they were talking about. They're referred to by many names but it's easier to just say "the elite". It's basically most of the powerful corporation owners and leaders that are in cahoots with each other to ensure their flow of profit continues to flow into their pockets.
