Hi. I am just wondering what are some interesting and romantic places in Boston for my girlfriend and I to visit when we go there over the break. i have never been there and we are driving up there from NYC. So far we are thinking about visitng the Harvard natural history museaum but thats about it.

Please give me some ideas.

If you really REALLY want to get away from it all, and go to a small charming inn that has a day spa and a wine list that's over an inch thick. Then check out the Stonehedge Inn, it's in Tyngsboro, which is closer to New Hampshire then it is to Boston, but it is a GRAND place.

The food is excellent, the rooms are very comfortable and the staff is very friendly and there's a golf course nearby.

They have package deals specifically designed for romantic getaways. And if your special someone has a thing for fine wine, they have about 2000 bottles on their wine list, no that's not an exaggeration.

However, being so secluded, it's a bit of a hike to get there from Logan Airport, so rent a car with a GPS.

And it's relatively expensive, but the experience unforgettable.

Romantic places:
- Finale's for dessert
- Paparazzi for dinner
- Go for a walk along the harbor near Fanueil Hall
- Walk around Boston Commons/Garden at night--beautiful

If she is into shopping:
- you can take her to downtown crossing (the Orange/Red Line to downtown crossing or the Green line to Park Street)
- Prudential/Copley Mall (Green Line to Copley)
- Cambridgeside Mall (Take the Green Line to Lechmere, pronounced Leech-mere)

Museums:
- MFA (if she likes art)
- Science Museum (a bit nerdy but still fun)
- Boston Aquarium (pricey but fun)
- MIT Museum (but it's really small)
