I have an old Motorola KRZR from 2007. I have the family plan with the added 250 text message for $5/month option - no pix packages. I've been trying to get free ringtones with little success. Phonezoo texted the song to me, but the message said I had to go to some pix place online at the Verizon site. Does this site cost money to use? I don't use my phone extensively and just wanted a couple ring tones to personalize it a bit.
Ventones just brings it right back to having to use that Pix Place thing. Plus, everything I've clicked on is copywrited on that site, so I can't download it anyway.

I have Verizon and never use any websites or VCast to set ringtones.

I make ringtones from mp3's I already have using audacity.

I save the ringtones to the sd card on my phone.

Verizon phones will see those soundclips - but not as ringtones.

until they are sent to you by text message.

I don;t know why Phonezoo text attachments are being saved as ringtones.
