vw beetle blinker making noises after its off?

so when i turn my blinker on to make a turn in my bug after i make the turn i still hear the noise for the blinker lights like its going rapidly fast. ive checked to see if the blinker itself is still going off but it isnt... theres just the noise....

any ideas on what it could possibly be?? and if i could fix it myself????

id really hate to hafta take it back up to the stupid dealership but i guess thats what im leaning towards.
