Here's what you need:

1- The latest iTunes version downloaded and installed.

2- Your MP3's.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Set-Up:

STEP ONE: Go to "VIEW" and click on "SHOW EQUALIZER"

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

STEP TWO: Set each channel of the Equalizer to this value as indicated:

32: @ +5 db

64: @ +1.5 db

125: @ +2 db

250: @ +6 db

Leave 500 / 1k / 2k / 4k @ 0 db

8k: @ +1.5 db

16K: @ +1.5 db

When done, save it as a preset with your chosen name for it.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

STEP THREE: Make sure that "EQUALIZER" is showing on the play list status...this is where you see "NAME", "TIME", "ARTIST", "ALBUM", "GENRE", "RATINGS", "SIZE" etc.

If "EQUALIZER" is not listed with the other status items, then right click on anywhere on top of any of the status listing...to make it easier, just right click on top where it says "NAME" and scroll down and check "EQUALIZER" from the list.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

LAST STEP: On the "EQUALIZER" column, there is one icon shaped like as a square with two arrow heads inside the square...LEFT click on that square pertaining to the song you want to have the vinyl effect and scroll down and select the preset equalizer you created earlier and that song will be permanently assigned to that EQ setting when played. You can deactivated when ever you want.

@ killer peaches--> Your welcome!

Anything to help the Vinyl community :)

I should probably make a video tutorial on this. All of those that remember the quality vinyl will love this!

@ Wire & String--> This set up I created is amplified by 2x... therefore, what is really happening here is that the weak waves from the mp3 are being pushed at three times the strength. It recovers the waves that were lost after encoding.

@ The Dancing Monkey (aka Saz)-- Unfortunately it doesn't. You would have to multiply all the EQ setting I indicated by two and encode the MP3 at 320 bit rate for it to have that effect on any portable player.
@ The Dancing Monkey (aka Saz)--> Encode it using a professional software editor like Magix Music Maker, that is.
