Was there any gay people who actually voted yes on 8?

In California, I know a gay guy who did. I askem him why and he said all the same reasons the yes campaign used, I dont understand and he goes to church too on Sundays. I also have a friend whose brother lives with his gay partner, he loves his brother and partner to death but voted yes, why.
