I can see the pulley on the side of the water pump and it is shaking violently from side to side and it makes a knocking sound and a screech that I can't quite describe. I bought a new water pump and I was gonna get a new pulley as well, but the pulley is no longer in production so it's gonna cost $150.00 to get the stupid thing. Someone told me that the pulley might be fine and that all I need to replace is the pump. Is this true? I don't wanna take everything apart and then have it sit there for a week till my special order pulley comes in. What are the chances that the pulley's still good?
Also, what all is required to change that stuff out? Since the motor is mounted sideways am I in for hell? Any detail would help
Thanks
