We have digital thermostat (white-rogers) and it is not working "BATTERY". We...

...replaced battery and still no? Any idea what this could be? It is lighting up the digital display, but it will not kick in and turn on the air conditioner.

if the display is working but the A/c will not turn on, then the problem is not the thermostat.

There is a small "reset" button on the back of the thermostat. I bend a small paper clip straight and push the button with that. You will have to look close, the hole is small. Good luck!
