Weird question about the new Nissan Versa Hatchbacks.?

Asking this question, so I can relay the info to my grandmother. She's a short 68 year old, currently driving an '01 Civic (that she bought new), that now has 198,000 miles. In late January or so, the transmission went, and it knocked her back in to the reality that even a Honda can and will have maintenance troubles. This got her thinking about looking around for a new vehicle, for when the engine goes. This is where the question comes in.

What she describes that she's looking for, is almost like a hatchback, or small crossover now. She doesn't want something that is terribly huge, but she likes seats that are raised up a little, to give you a better view around mounds of snow, for example.

She had what I believe was an '06 PT Cruiser, and is a prime example of how the seating is that she likes.

Does any body know if the Versa is like that? Would it give you a view higher off the ground than her Civic? What about the Honda Fit, or Toyota Matrix?

Thank you for you help.

The Honda Fit is like a wagon version of the Civic as far as the chassis is concerned and does not sit high at all. The Toyota Matrix is based off of the Toyota Camry platform and does not sit up either. Neither does the Nissan Versa. The Nissan Rogue however, might suit her wants if she is looking for a Japanese car that is like a crossover but not big. It is like a smaller version of the Nissan Murano
