Were the Hollywood actors of old felt complimented--?

when the animators of Bugs Bunny(Warner Bros)drew them and put them to work alongside with Bugs, Daffy, etc? Actors like Edward G Robinson and Peter Lorre and Humphrey Bogart?...or did they feel offended? I know there are more actors that were drawn in the days of Hollywood's Golden Age.
