They showed that part of the movie in a different movie, 12 Monkeys. I havent seen the movie you are talking about, but if it will help anyone give you the name of it. They did show part of this movie in a movie theater that Bruce Willis was in near the end of the movie 12 Monkeys.

It may be Vertigo but not sure. I remember seeing that picture in the movie 12 Monkeys talking about " This is where it Happen" there was another line saying This was where i was born and they pointed into another part of the tree. does that sound familiar? It may be the same movie, or i am thinking of one that is similar to the picture.
