what am I doing wrong with painting my car?

I'm doing my own paint job in my garage with a spray gun and compressor. I'm using black omni paint which I'm told to mix half paint and half thinner. As I'm spraying it on, a little thick, some parts of the paint starts to crinkle up, like a lizards skin. Is it the paint or the gun. Trying to regulate the gun and it comes out blotchy. What's going on? Thanks

you dont just use paint and thinner. the thinner you used is not for that paint , you need to go to a auto paint store and pick a color and have them mix it and get a hardener with it and do it right ask them how to do it right

what side of compressor do you have. You need a very large one to paint a car. You also need to make sure the Compressor is putting out enough CFM for your gun. Are you using the correct gun for the paint that you are using.
