What are advantages of owning a console? ps3?

Hi,

Can you tell me what the advantages of owning a console are if you own a top spec gaming rig (PC). High end graphics card, good deal of ram & good quality components. Is there much point in getting a console for a handful of exclusives, when PC titles are generally cheaper and look better?
ok i could pull up the specs on the ps3 hardware & my nvidia, i can tell you that my card wipes its AS$ on the ps3 hardware. Don't be stupid, serious answers only plz.
oh i have a blueray writer now by samsung too, good point
 
In all honesty, not really. IF you have an incredible gaming PC, there's really no need for a console, unless you're a huge fan of a certain series, like Metal Gear Solid.
 
You can't really play Guitar Hero or group games on a computer right? So if you have friends that come over often that want to play games like that. I guess it'd be cool to have a PS3 with some group activity games like Rock Band.

In addition, I think it looks pretty nice and can make your home feel sexy with an HDTV. :)
 
Well if you have a good PC than you don't need a ps3 the only thing I can find is blu-ray player.
