What are air holes in a car?

I asked a guy selling a nissan altima 2003 if the car needed any repairs and he said "well the car has some air holes by the engine but they're easy to repair and it wont cost you more than $20.00 dollars. So what do you guys think?? Please give me any feedback on the cost of the repairs and if it will continue to happen.

I have no idea, sounds like the wrong description of something. Have a mechanic look the car over and make sure it's good.
