What are some beautiful freshwater fishes i can put in my 125 gallon?...

...Other than cichlids..? i have african cichlids already in a separate 125 gallon....thier awsome...what about Puffers?
 
puffers would be cool, don't mix them with anything small tho.

What about discus? i realise they are cichlids, but its not quite the same! :)

or gouramies, or a community, or saltwater. Whats your budget? You could go for anything really (within reason of course). What about a breeding tank for cats? :)

You know a Fahaka Pufferfish can fit in a 125 gallon, they are pretty aggressive so it would be the only fish in the tank but they are very friendly and can reconise the owner and are very playful, they sometimes let you pet them (but as we all know you shouldnt pet a fish especally with teeth.) The only thing you should showld know is feed them hard things like crayfish and apple snails every now and then to keep their teeth filed. You can TRY to keep them with other fish if you put them in a community tank when they are little, but they may end up being eaten in the long run.
 
puffers arent supossed to go with any other fish cuz they r agressive and they have beak kinda things i worked at walmart not in pets but i felt so bad for all those fish i did everythin i could but id clean the puffer tank and theyd bit me n they give off a poison slime kinda stuff that is harmful to other fish
 
can you get fresh water puffer? i want one!!
get some angels, red fin sharks, betta, discus fish are beautiful, rainbow fish.

no puffers, most are brackish, except for a few, which would get hurt by africans. maybe search what other fish are in africa, i always like tanks with only fish from one region, it just works better =] best of luck!
 
i would say gold fishes. 1 samarai fish but away from the gold fishes b/c it will kill da other fishes. 2 Clown fish. And 1 bin-bubbled mouth white fish.
