What are some good sci-fi/horror novels?

I like the apocalyptic stories. I've read Brian Keene's The Rising and City of the Dead and loved them. Hater by David Moody was another one I enjoyed. And I'm about to start Ender's Game by Orson Scott Card. What do you all recommend?
 
some really good horror novels would be:
"the hanging tree" point horror unleashed
"fright train" point horror unleashed
"blood sinister" point horror unleashed
"Trick or treat" point horror is also good.
 
the Demonada series by Darren Shan. Obviously its about demons, but it goes way more into detail. His other series Cirque du Freak is also qquite good and sci-fi. neither of these are really "horror" persay, but they are definately gruesome scifi.
 
"Red Harvest" by Joe Schreiber. It's Star Wars zombie horror. (How much more awesome could it possibly get??)
"Red Harvest" is supposed to be a prequel for "Death Troopers", but I haven't read that one yet so I don't know how it is. But I liked the first one. :)
