What are some interesting topics to use for our schools news? For ex. An "um"...

...segment, a funny spelling bee? Our school has used segments where they ask kids how to spell words and then its funny how many spel it incorrectly, etc.

I am an anchor for my school and looking to use funny ideas to film for the daily annoucements.
 
You could film a "man in the street" type of segment where you ask students questions on topics of interest at your school. Some of these are likely to get straight answers and some will get funny ones.
