i know that they b--ched about the cartoony video game "super meat boy" because the main character was a cube of meat. even thought he was just a boy without skin rather than animal meat.

and i know they whined to sesame street because sesame street showed chickens laying eggs naturally which doesnt represent the industrial chicken farms.

and i know they're starting a porn site.

So what other stupid things have they done?

i'm trying to convince my friend not to be one of these whackjobs. i dont think she knows about this. if she agrees with the things they have done, i'll leave her alone but im going to at least make sure she isnt ignorant to the extreme things peta does. thanks all.
yes, they are starting a porn site. look into it. and lol no, not animal porn. its supposed to raise awareness to animal cruelty or something. idk.

Well, instead of focusing on the stupid, why not focus on the hypocritical and the downright scary?

Peta hates pets.
we believe that it would have been in the animals' best interests if the institution of "pet keeping"—i.e., breeding animals to be kept and regarded as "pets"—never existed.
http://www.peta.org/about/why-peta/pets.aspx
They want to make pets extinct.
There is no excuse for breeding animals or for supporting breeders.
What we want is for the population of dogs and cats to be reduced through spaying and neutering and for people to adopt animals (preferably two so that they can keep each other company when their human companions aren't home) from pounds or animal shelters—never from pet shops or breeders—
In case that's hard to understand,
if the only place where people are getting pets are shelters where they're all spayed/neutered, then where is the next generation of pets coming from? Spayed/neutered animals can not reproduce.

They will readily support any legislation that makes it more difficult to own pets as well. Not just exotic pets like lions, or dangerous pets like poisonous or giant snakes. They support legislation that makes owning every day pets harder.
They also support legislation that makes it legal for the government to take pets, in particular dogs, from their owners and have them euthanized based on how they look.
It's called breed specific legislation, and anyone who likes dogs in any form absolutely hates it and everyone who approves of it.

For all their bullshit about helping animals. Peta isn't an animal shelter, they do not run an animal shelter. They manage to slaughter nearly two thousand animals every year, with a 95%+ kill rate on record. They manage to spend a heck of a lot of money for commercials and protests. But as far as truly helping animals, they don't have much to do with them.

Also, anyone who watches their 'meat is evil' videos, would do well to question "what happens after slaughter industries are closed down."
Remember, it costs a lot to care for even a few animals. You can't release domestic animals into the wild, they would have a hard time surviving, they would crush the ecosystem, and there simply isn't much wild for them to go into.
Then there's the question of what about our pets? Dogs and cats don't tend to thrive on vegetarian diets, we aren't the only ones who eat beef, chicken and pork.

Their contempt for animals doesn't end at domestic pets though, it keeps on going. Peta doesn't like zoos. In fact they tend to have a high level of contempt with anyone who tries to help wild animals in any way. Even most conservation areas rely on tourists in order to generate the money needed to properly see that the animals are tended for and aren't giving locals a reason to shoot them.
So again the question needs to be asked, if any place that exploits animals in any form or manner is horrible, then what happens to all of these animals from movies, circuses and even zoos when they're closed down? Again, you can't release them into the wild.

Then you could quite easily slip into the fact that they fund terrorists, or that exploitation of animals is bad but it's just fine when they exploit humans. You need look no further than their advertising, from the pornographic like models to the pamphlets they've handed out to children that include horrible graphic images and text proclaiming that because mom wears fur or daddy fishes, they're going to eat the family cat or the dog.
Or it's horrible when anyone but Peta exploits animals. The majority of people at Peta are heavily reliant on products produced from animal testing. Diabetes is a big one, but I'm sure a little digging could prove that most of them are only alive and well thanks to it.
