what are some recipes/ what goes into a good japanese bento box{lunch box}?

basically I've had this idea for the longest time two have to special days out of the year. one of them being what I call bento box day. the reason I want to this is because I want to eat an authentic japanese box lunch like in japan and do something special on that day. the other reason is my youth has been squandered so far in a blur of bla days and my I don't have anything memorable in my the la=ast 10 years. so I got two questions.

1. what are some authentic japanese recipes that would go in a lunch like this
2. what to do that would be interesting
 
when i lived in japan i got bento boxes that had noodles, some kind of fish, and rice...then i had my suaces
